This explains what Ridgeway Legal ("we") collects when you use Ridgeway Legal, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
- Your name, email and country, when you pay.
- Your progress through the content, so the members area can pick up where you left off.
- Messages and files you send through support.
- A sign-in key on your device, and notification settings if you turn them on.
- For each device you sign in on: the kind of device (for example "iPhone · Safari"), when it was first and last used, and the city and country your internet connection points to. Your access works on a set number of devices, and this is how we keep to it.
- Your activity in the members area: when you visit, what you open and for how long. We use it to help you when you ask for support and to see what's useful. We keep it for 12 months.
- For alerts, if you turn them on: whether the app is installed, your time zone and your language, so alerts arrive at sensible times.
We don't record your IP address against your account or your activity, and we don't collect details about your device's hardware. We don't sell your data or share it with advertisers.
Why we can use it
Most of this is needed to give you what you paid for (your account, your access, support). Activity and device records are kept because they help us run the service fairly and help you, and you can ask us to delete them at any time.
We don't collect your card details: Stripe handles payment. We don't use advertising cookies, and our site statistics don't use cookies at all.

How long we keep it
We keep your account details while you're a member and for as long as the law requires for tax records after that. Backups roll over after 30 days.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected].

Ridgeway Legal is not for anyone under 18.
