Kajabi's plans and prices
Kajabi has three main plans: Basic, Growth and Pro. Each can be paid month to month, or a year at a time for a lower price per month. Here's what its pricing page shows:
| Plan | Billed monthly | Paid a year up front | Extra fee with another processor |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kajabi Basic | ~$179 a month | ~$143 a month, so ~$1,716 a year, up front | 2% of sales |
| Kajabi Growth | ~$249 a month | ~$199 a month, so ~$2,388 a year, up front | 1% of sales |
| Kajabi Pro | ~$499 a month | ~$399 a month, so ~$4,788 a year, up front | 0.5% of sales |
The last column matters more than it looks. With Kajabi Payments, its own checkout, you pay card processing much as you would anywhere. If you take payments through another processor instead (some businesses have to, for example trading education using Whop), Kajabi adds its own percentage on top.
What the plans differ on
The tiers mainly differ in how many products, contacts and admin users you get, and in which extras are included. Kajabi's pricing page values its branded mobile app at about $199 a month and points to Pro for an app in the App Store under your name. Limits change from time to time, so compare the current ones on kajabi.com before you pick a plan.
In practice, most established creators end up on Growth, because the Basic limits fill up once you have more than a couple of products or a growing email list.
What you'll pay over 1, 3 and 5 years
| Plan | 1 year | 3 years | 5 years |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kajabi Basic, billed monthly | ~$2,150 | ~$6,440 | ~$10,740 |
| Kajabi Growth, billed monthly | ~$2,990 | ~$8,960 | ~$14,940 |
| Kajabi Pro, billed monthly | ~$5,990 | ~$17,960 | ~$29,940 |
| Kajabi Basic, paid yearly | ~$1,720 | ~$5,150 | ~$8,580 |
| Kajabi Growth, paid yearly | ~$2,390 | ~$7,160 | ~$11,940 |
| Kajabi Pro, paid yearly | ~$4,790 | ~$14,360 | ~$23,940 |
| Deedmade™, owned | $2,499 | $2,499 | $2,499 |
These are list prices only. They assume the price never goes up, that you never need a bigger plan, and that you pay nothing else. In real life, at least one of those usually changes.
Owning has cost less from month 11. After that, renting keeps going and owning doesn't.
Costs people miss
- Yearly billing is paid on day one. The lower monthly figure is the yearly price divided by 12. Stop after three months and you've usually still paid for the year, so check Kajabi's refund terms.
- The other-processor fee. Selling $5,000 a month through another processor on Basic adds ~$100 a month on top of the plan.
- Outgrowing a tier. Hit a product or contact limit and the next plan is the new price, every month from then on.
- The tools around it. Many Kajabi users still pay for live video and call booking separately: Zoom Pro is ~$17 a month and Calendly Standard ~$10 a seat. See what a course platform really costs for the full stack.
- Price changes. A rented platform sets next year's price. You find out when it happens.
- Leaving. If you ever move, you rebuild your site, re-upload your courses and move your members. The longer you stay, the bigger that job gets.
What Kajabi does well
- Everything in one subscription. Courses, a website, email marketing, sales funnels, a community and coaching tools, with one login.
- Polished and mature. It's been around for years, the editor is well liked, and there's a large community of users, templates and tutorials.
- Nothing to set up yourself. No accounts to connect beyond payments. Kajabi runs the hosting, the updates and the support.
- Email and funnels are strong, which matters if most of your sales come from launches and email sequences.
When Kajabi is worth it
- You want everything in one place, run by someone else, and the monthly bill is small next to what you earn.
- You're launching often and lean on its funnels and email tools every week.
- You expect to change direction soon and would rather not commit to anything long term.
If none of those are you, and you've been paying for a year or more, the maths starts to favour owning. Our Kajabi alternatives guide covers every option, from cheaper course platforms to doing it yourself.
The other way: own it
Deedmade™ builds the same all-in-one (your own website, your own members app, courses, community, live sessions, booking, email marketing, a shop, events, e-signatures and invoices) on accounts in your name, with an Owner's Portal to run it. You pay $2,499 once (the early-bird price until December 31, 2026; the regular price is $3,900), and we take 0% of your sales.
After that, owning costs the card fee on each sale (as anywhere), your domain, and Cloudflare hosting, which is free or about $5 a month with live features. The $49 a month care plan is optional, and so is listing your app in the App Store and Google Play ($99 a month). Against Kajabi Growth billed monthly, owning has cost less from about month 11. Compare feature by feature on our Kajabi alternative page, or build yours free and see it working before you pay anything.
Prices of other companies are approximate, from their own pricing pages on October 11, 2026 (yearly-billing prices, add-ons and plans not in our calculator were checked on November 6, 2026), and they change. Where a page shows a monthly price that is billed a year at a time, we say so. Check their websites for today's prices.
Questions people ask
How much does Kajabi cost per month?
About $179 for Basic, $249 for Growth and $499 for Pro when billed monthly. Paid a year up front, it's about $143, $199 and $399 a month, charged as one yearly payment. Check kajabi.com for today's prices.
How much does Kajabi cost over five years?
On monthly billing, roughly $10,740 for Basic, $14,940 for Growth and $29,940 for Pro, before any price rises, plan upgrades or other tools.
Does Kajabi take a cut of my sales?
Not with Kajabi Payments, where you pay card processing. If you use another payment processor, Kajabi adds about 2% on Basic, 1% on Growth and 0.5% on Pro.
Is Kajabi cheaper if I pay yearly?
Yes, by about a fifth, but you pay the whole year up front, and stopping early rarely refunds the rest. Yearly billing makes sense only if you're sure you'll stay all year.
What is a cheaper alternative to Kajabi?
Cheaper rented course platforms such as Teachable and Thinkific cost less a month but do less. Owning your platform costs more on day one and less within about a year: Deedmade™ is $2,499 once (the early-bird price until December 31, 2026; the regular price is $3,900), with every feature and no monthly fee required.
