Why a platform makes a good gift
Most coaches and creators already have the hard part: the know-how, the audience, the people asking to work with them. What they often don't have is a proper home for it. They're running their business through a mix of payment links, a group chat, a Zoom account and a platform they rent every month.
Their own platform is a gift that keeps working long after Christmas. It's the website, members app, courses and community they'd build if they had the time, under their own name, and theirs to keep.
- It's useful from day one, not another thing to find a place for.
- It's theirs. It runs on accounts in their own name, so nobody can raise the price or lock them out.
- It saves them money every month if they're currently renting a platform.
- It's personal. They choose the look, the words and what's switched on.
Who it suits, and who it doesn't
A great fit for:
- A coach, trainer, teacher or consultant who already has paying clients.
- A creator with an audience who keeps saying they'll launch a course or membership.
- Someone paying every month for Kajabi, Skool, Teachable or a stack of separate tools.
- A small business that wants a client portal with booking, payments and agreements.
Maybe not the right gift for:
- Someone who hasn't decided to sell anything yet. A course or a coaching session might suit them better for now.
- Someone who wants to stay entirely on free tools and doesn't mind the limits.
What they get
- Their own website on their own domain, in any of our over 90 styles.
- Their own members app with their name and icon, which members add to their phone.
- Courses, community, live sessions and booking, plus email marketing, a shop, events, e-signatures and invoices.
- An Owner's Portal to run it all, including from their phone.
- One plan with every feature. They switch on what they need now and the rest whenever they're ready.
- 0% of their sales. Deedmade™ never takes a cut.
How giving it works
- Choose the plan at deedmade.com/gift. It's $2,499 once (the early-bird price until December 31, 2026; the regular price is $3,900).
- Say who it's for and add a message.
- Choose when it arrives: emailed to them when it's paid, emailed on a date you pick, or sent to you to hand over yourself.
- Choose how to pay: in full, or in 3 monthly payments with a $250 service charge, where the gift is delivered after the last payment (or sooner if you pay the rest early).
- They get a gift code and build their platform whenever they're ready, with a guided setup and a live preview.
Christmas timing
We're in early access right now, so reserving a gift charges nothing today. Your gift is reserved at the price shown that day (the early-bird price lasts until December 31, 2026). When we open for sale, we email you to complete it, in full or in monthly payments, at that price, and it's delivered once it's paid.
That means the gift itself may arrive after Christmas Day. If you want something to give on the day, choose to have it sent to you, and put a card under the tree that says what's coming. They don't lose anything by waiting: the gift never expires.
Gift ideas compared
| Gift | What it costs | What they keep |
|---|---|---|
| A course or a coaching session | Varies | What they learn |
| A year of a rented platform | ~$2,150 for a year of Kajabi Basic billed monthly | Nothing once the year ends; the renewal is theirs to pay |
| Equipment (a microphone, lights, a camera) | Varies | Better videos, still on someone else's platform |
| Their own platform | $2,499 once | The platform, on their own accounts |
After the gift: what it costs them
No monthly fee is required. Owning a platform still has small running costs: the card fee on each sale (as anywhere), your domain, and Cloudflare hosting, which is free or about $5 a month with live features. The $49 a month care plan is optional, and so is listing your app in the App Store and Google Play ($99 a month). Most of the accounts it runs on have free plans and bill them directly.
The small print, in plain words
- Gifts aren't refundable, and they never expire.
- If a build started with a gift is deleted or closed before it's paid for, the gift can be used again.
- With monthly payments, the $250 service charge isn't refundable. If payments stop, what you paid becomes credit toward a gift or a build.
- The full rules are in the terms, under Gifts.
Ready? Reserve the gift. Or, if you'd like to see what they'll get first, build a free preview yourself, and see the finished platforms for ideas.
Prices of other companies are approximate, from their own pricing pages on October 11, 2026, and they change. Where a page shows a monthly price that is billed a year at a time, we say so. Check their websites for today's prices.
