What traders want from a membership
- A structured course with progress, plus a playbook library they come back to.
- Alerts on their phone when you post a setup or a market note.
- A live trading room during the session, with recordings.
- Tool or indicator access handed out automatically when they join, and removed when they leave.
- A community that isn't a noisy Discord with no structure.
The payment problem
Many card processors restrict trading and investing education, and some don't allow it at all (funded prop trading, for example). Check your processor's rules before you build. Whop accepts many trading communities, and some educators use Whop for memberships and Stripe for everything else.
Read Stripe or Whop for membership payments for how to choose.
Keep your marketing on the right side
- Don't promise profits or show only winning trades.
- Label hypothetical or back-tested results as exactly that.
- Add a clear risk disclaimer to your site and checkout.
- Teach a method; don't tell members what to buy with their money.
Rules differ by country (in the US, the FTC and CFTC both act on misleading trading claims), so check yours with a professional.
